2. Gives You the Exact Prayer the Church Cut Out in 1645
Your church tells you to pray for your family. It never tells you what to say about the ones who came before them.
In 1544, the whole church prayed it out loud. “Remember not, Lord, our offences, nor the offences of our forefathers.”
Then in January 1645, men in Parliament made that prayer book against the law.
Your church never put it back.
It Ends With Me did.
3. Names What’s Been Coming Down Your Family Line
What’s in your house tonight didn’t start with you.
Exodus 20:5 says God visits “the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” Iniquity is an old word for sin.
That’s 4 generations. Your mama’s side and your daddy’s side.
Most women fight it for years and never once name it.
You’ll have it written down by Day 17.
4. Explains Why Years of Your Prayers Haven’t Stopped It
You’ve prayed over your children for years. You’ve cried at the altar. You’ve been told, “You’re covered. Just keep believing.”
And it still came back.
It was never your faith. In Nehemiah 9:2, God’s people “stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.”
That part was left out.
You’ve been praying over what’s in front of you. Nobody ever showed you how to bring what came before you to God.
5. Prayed By God’s People for Almost 2,500 Years.
They’ll tell you it’s Old Testament. That we’re under grace now.
Then explain this. Nehemiah’s people prayed it. The church of 1544 prayed it. And every Day of Atonement, to this day, the Jewish people still stand and say, “We and our fathers have sinned.”
Jesus paid for every bit of it (Galatians 3:13). This adds nothing to the cross. John wrote to people who were already saved, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us” (1 John 1:9).
It wasn’t added by a book. It was dropped by your church.
6. Every Child in Your House Is Next in Line
It doesn’t stop with you. It goes to your children. Then to theirs.
You can’t pray this out for them forever. Your son has his own walk. Your daughter has hers.
What you can do is make sure it ends with you.
On Day 40, you sign the last page and pray a blessing over every one of your children by name.

I finally know what I’m praying against
My daddy drank. My brother drank. My oldest boy drinks. I’ve rebuked it for 20 years and never once asked where it came from. Day 11 I wrote it all down, both sides, and sat at my table and cried. It was right there the whole time.

I checked every verse. It holds up.
I’ve pastored 18 years and I’m careful what I put in my women’s hands. I opened my own KJV next to every page. Nothing added, nothing twisted, and it starts at the cross. We’re taking our whole women’s ministry through it in January.

3 divorces in 3 generations
My mama, me, and now my daughter’s marriage was falling apart the same way. Same year in, same reasons. I prayed the confession days with her on the phone. They’re going to counseling now and she told me, “Mama, something lifted.”

Ordered it the same night
I didn’t believe it at first so I looked up the 1544 prayer myself. It’s real. “Nor the offences of our forefathers.” I’m 67 and I never heard it one time. The book came in 6 days and I already had the first 10 days on my phone.

The money never stayed. Ever.
Granddaddy lost the land. Daddy lost the house. I’ve been one paycheck from nothing my whole life. I’m not going to tell you I hit the lottery. But for the first time I’m not scared every time the phone rings, and I paid off a card I’ve carried 9 years.

I was skeptical. I’m Baptist.
I thought this was going to be some oils and chanting thing. It’s not. It’s Jesus on every page, the verse printed right there, and the prayer written out so you don’t have to come up with it. 10 minutes. That’s all it asks.

Day 40 I signed the page and named all 7 grandbabies
I said every name out loud. My husband walked in and asked what I was doing and I told him, “I’m making sure it stops here.” He sat down and did the last day with me. 46 years married and I never saw that man pray out loud.

Stopped blaming myself
For years I thought my son was on that stuff because I didn’t have enough faith. The book says it plain. It was never my faith. I needed to hear that more than anything. He’s 63 days clean as I write this.

I listen in the car on the way to work
The audiobook was a blessing. I work doubles so I don’t always sit down with the book, but I pray along on the drive and catch up on the page at night. Haven’t missed a day.

Same sickness, same age
Mama had the sugar at 50. Her mama had it at 50. I turned 49 this year and I was waiting on it like a train. I traced it back on Day 14 and confessed it on Day 26. My last A1C was the best it’s been in 10 years.

My prayer circle ordered 11 copies
I brought mine to Wednesday prayer and by the next week 11 of us had it. We do the day on our own in the morning and talk about it Wednesday night. Some of these women have been carrying things for 50 years.

I didn’t know my daddy’s side at all
I never met him. I was worried I couldn’t do the Trace part. The prayers cover what you don’t know too. I just said it out loud, “Lord, You know who they were.” That was enough.

The heavy feeling in my house is gone
I can’t explain it better than that. There was a heaviness in this house since my brother passed. Around Day 30 I woke up and it was just quiet. Good quiet. My granddaughter even said, “Grandma, it feels different in here.”

Bought 1, came back for 2 more
I got the single for me first to see if it was real. By Day 20 I ordered 2 more for my sons’ wives. Should have just got the 3 pack to begin with.

Plain words. Finally.
I only went to the 8th grade and some Bible studies lose me in the first page. This one explains every verse like you’re sitting at the kitchen table. I understood every single day.
Most prayer books give you prayers. This one gives you 4 steps and a finish line: Read, Trace, Confess, Seal. It puts back the prayer the church cut out in 1645, the one for the sins of your fathers, and walks you through it for 40 days. Every prayer is written out, and every verse is printed right on the page.
From your Bible. In Nehemiah 9, God’s people “stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers” (verse 2). Then they read the book of the law for a fourth of the day and confessed for another fourth (verse 3). The Trace step goes back 4 generations because of Exodus 20:5, where God visits “the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” Every verse is printed beside its prayer, so you can check each one in your own Bible.
He did. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13). That part is finished. But most churches preach the cross and never teach you how to walk it out in your own family. In Nehemiah 9, God’s people were already home and already His, and they still confessed the sins of their fathers. This book is the walking it out part.
Every prayer in this book is prayed in the name of Jesus, and every step ends at His cross. John wrote this to people who were already saved: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Paul said the Old Testament stories “are written for our admonition” (1 Corinthians 10:11). This adds nothing to the cross. It’s what His people do because of it.
Ezekiel 18 tells about a son whose father did wrong. Verse 14 says that son “seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like.” Verse 17 says “he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.” Look at what changed it. He saw what his father did. He thought about it. Then he turned. That seeing is the Trace step, and it’s the step almost every prayer skips.
Because it was never your faith. Most of us pray over what’s in front of us: the drinking, the divorce, the debt. Almost nobody is taught to go back and confess what came down from the ones before us. That’s the prayer the church cut in 1645, and it’s the part this book puts back. You don’t need more faith. You need the part that was left out.
No. In Nehemiah 9, the people “stood up in their place” and confessed for themselves (verse 3). 1 Peter 2:9 calls every believer “a royal priesthood.” Nobody has to lay hands on you. You need 10 quiet minutes with God and the words written out, and the book gives you both.
You can’t choose for him. What you can do is bring what came down your side of the family to God and pray for him by name. Job rose up early and “offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all” for his children (Job 1:5). He did his part for them. You do yours. Women tell us the first thing that changes is them. The fear lets go, and the peace comes back.
It’s not too late. In Nehemiah 9, God’s people looked back on generations of getting it wrong, and verse 31 says God did not “utterly consume them, nor forsake them.” Seeing the pattern isn’t blame. It’s the start, because only the one who sees it can stop it. And if something was done TO you, hear this clearly: what was done to you is not your sin.
Most people don’t know 4 generations back. You don’t need names. The tracing prayers ask God to show you what came down, known and unknown, and you say it out loud. God knows your whole line, even the parts you never met.
No. Nobody has to know. It’s 10 quiet minutes a day between you and God. There’s no confronting anyone and no announcing anything.
No. You pay once, for the book, and that’s the end of it. Nothing renews, and nothing is added at checkout that bills you next month.
